Wide, bottle-knecked vase in a speckled, dark brown glossy glaze, by Stephanie Phillips from August 2026.

This is both a functional vase and an elegant sculptural piece. Slightly, but pleasingly asymmetric, it's gently angled on one side and undulating on the other.

It has a lovely weight and solidity to its form - feeling more like carved stone than ceramic. It's also wider than it is deep, so it would sit beautifully on a mantle or shelf.

Stephanie Phillips is a ceramic artist living in Sydney, Australia. She draws influence in her artistic direction from her grandmothers, one a craftswomen, the other a nature conservationist. Drawing on her love of nature she individually hand-builds her pieces using a combination of curves, colours and textures, often adorned with jaunty shapes.
