Tall, wide vase in a textured, dark brown glossy glaze, by Stephanie Phillips from August 2026.

This is both a functional vase and an elegant sculptural piece. There's a lovely contrast between the lightness and airiness of the sinuous, art-nouveau-like openings at the top and the dark, gravity of the glaze and solidity of the base.

It's wider than it is deep, so it would sit beautifully on a mantle or shelf.

Stephanie Phillips is a ceramic artist living in Sydney, Australia. She draws influence in her artistic direction from her grandmothers, one a craftswomen, the other a nature conservationist. Drawing on her love of nature she individually hand-builds her pieces using a combination of curves, colours and textures, often adorned with jaunty shapes.
