Small, oval-shaped porcelain plates, each featuring an illustration of a Koi.

From the Casa Adams series "Fishes of Japan", October 2026, featuring the designs of Araceli Adams.

Araceli’s illustrations are mono printed on to the porcelain pieces that are hand made in the studio. After a first firing in the kiln, they are painted with watercolour-like washes of underglaze. Each piece is then meticulously glazed and fired a second time, producing functional artworks that are equally at home in daily use or on the wall.

For this special series, each fish's species name is written in Japanese and English on the back of each plate.

We have six small Koi plates in this series - sold individually but lovely in small schools.

Born in Spain, and having lived and studied all over the world, Araceli Adams now produces work under the Casa Adams Fine Wares name, in a small studio in Dulwich Hill, Sydney.

The studio’s designs are inspired by the world's rich biodiversity, with the aim to recreate the wonder and curiosity felt by naturalists during the Age of Discovery. With a strong sustainability ethos, she contributes to Carbon Positive Australia by planting a native tree or shrub in Australia for each piece sold.
