Michael McIntyre is a painter and collage artist working in Patonga on the Central Coast of New South Wales, just north of Sydney, Australia.

He has exhibited his work across Australia, most notably at PICA, Damien Minton Presents and Flinders Street Gallery.

Michael has a multi-faceted art-practice encompassing drawing, textiles, painting and collage, his approach is often process driven with material manipulation and experimentation the primary mode of development.

His work is always personal and hand-made, a remnant from his training in textile arts.

21 NOV 2020 • Moonlight Garden 

In November 2020 Michael's work was shown in a DEA exhibition entitled ‘Moonlight Garden’ with ceramic artist Stephanie Phillips, in the showroom of award winning interior design team YSG Studios.

We are proud to have launched our new DEA EAST space in June 2022 with an exhibition called "Unearthly Things", featuring Michael's latest work as well as that of ceramic artist Stephanie Phillips.
