Elizabeth Lewis is a Sydney based emerging artist. 

Her ceramics are informed by hard-to-grasp feelings rather than concrete ideas, resulting in objects that explore emotions we don’t understand ourselves. Curiosity and unlikely symmetry preoccupies her work, with considered mediations on vivid colour that results in highly stylised vessels.

Elizabeth uses practice-led explorations of collage, coiling and hand building techniques to create her work. An artist in residence at Kil.n.it Experimental Ceramic Studios since 2022, her work has exhibited across Australia and internationally.

WORK @ DEA

We first had the chance to work with Elizabeth as part of our Friends of DEA x Kil.n.it exhibition in February 2023.

We loved her delicious coloured glazes, abstract forms and eleborate vessels, and her work has often been a stylist favourite for many a shoot. We are now happy to present a selection of her work as part of the permanent DEA collection.
