These delightful vessels are Hikari's iconic, ceramic take on kokeshi (traditional Japanese wooden dolls). 

We have one each in five gorgeous styles - Spots, Iris, Hibiscus, Ferns or Kimono.

Hikari Masuda is a ceramicist based in Tokoname - recognised as one of Japan's six ancient kilns with a ceramic history reaching back more than 1000 years. 

Masuda's joyful, playful work is rich in vivid folkloric depictions of animals and mythical creatures, drawn from both Japanese and western traditions. Her restless, masterful making incorporates myriad forms and glazes, producing a dazzling array of work that's attracted a passionate following in Japan and Australia.
