Small orange semicircle sculpture by Australian ceramicist Jenni Oh, from December 2023.

This lovely work features a grooved, semicircular arch, in a soft, matte orange glaze, and is reminiscent of a deco architectural flourish.

While beautiful on its own, three small openings at the top also allow it to be used as a bud vase.

Now based in Australia, Jenni was born in Singapore then lived and worked in London and Rome. This global perspective is evident in an aesthetic that falls somewhere between European and Eastern with wide-ranging influences from Japanese, Korean and Chinese ancient ceramics to Scandinavian and mid-century design, Bauhaus and even kawaii culture. Her ceramics, both decorative and utilitarian in nature, seek to sing in the spaces they occupy.
