Lovely black Donabe, or Japanese clay cooking pot, with double lids.
Made from a special clay that's designed to be used over an open flame, these pots are exceptionally good at holding heat, and are perfect for simmering, or any type of slow cooking that involves liquid.
They're ideal for making soups, stews, and braised dishes, but can also be used for steaming and roasting. They're also amazing at cooking rice!
The unique feature of the double-lid gives the effect of pressure-cooking and helps prevent the contents from boiling over.
