Tall, sculptural, wood-fired vase from Iga, Japan.

This magnificent work features a tall, rectangular base, indented on one side, and topped with a dramatic, asymmetric, rounded form - cleft on one side and with an opening on the other.

It's been finished in a rich, textured, wood-fired glaze with washes of deep red, black and burnt-orange.

The work comes in a simple, rectangular wooden box for safe and easy transport or storage.
