A statement piece for any dining table or display shelf, this large oval bowl will make waves with its sweeping rim and flowing glaze.

Thrown on the wheel and altered while still wet, Kowari manages to maintain a sense of momentum long after vitrification. Intimate detailing scratched into the walls by the artist punctuate the surface, while careful glazing creates variation in depth and colour.

In its entirety this work exists as both painting and ceramics, evoking the ritualistic quality of domestic objects.
