Extra-small, four-sided vessel by Suvira McDonald from April 2025.
With sloping, flat sides, joined at sharp angles, and finished in dark, brooding, greys and greens, this compact vessel exudes a power that belies its size, and functions perfectly well as both a sculptural piece and a bud vase.

Suvira McDonald is a legendary potter based in Northern NSW, whose career spans more than 30 years.
He's known for his lush, generous forms and glazes, and many pieces are wood fired in a Japanese style anagama kiln. Crackled, fire-coloured surfaces that look like the vessel is itself a glowing ember are a hallmark of McDonald's style.
Each piece is like an artwork in its own right, inviting extended contemplation and use, which rewards with a deeper connection to the vessel.
