Small condiment bowl by Suvira McDonald.
Twisting, higher on one side and slightly turned out, this striking little bowl is like a miniature sculpture. It does well in the kitchen as a spoon rest or a salt container.
With a rich textured orange and white shino glaze outside and a contrasting pool of green ash glaze in the centre.

Suvira McDonald is a legendary potter based in Northern NSW, whose career spans more than 30 years.
He's known for his lush, generous forms and glazes, and many pieces are wood fired in a Japanese style anagama kiln. Crackled, fire-coloured surfaces that look like the vessel is itself a glowing ember are a hallmark of McDonald's style.
Each piece is like an artwork in its own right, inviting extended contemplation and use, which rewards with a deeper connection to the vessel.
