While he's a master at the traditional unglazed, high-fired, Bizen style, he brings energy, creativity and restless experimentation to every aspect of his making - producing work that is at once fresh and exciting while still honouring its traditional roots.

Ishida is also a born teacher and generously shares his immense knowledge around the world - regularly hosting international workshops on every aspect of throwing, firing and kiln building.
