Izumi Okuyama is a multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Okinawa, Japan. 

While she graduated from The Okinawa Prefectural University of the Arts in sculpture, her practice now incorporates many materials, including pottery, woodwork and painting.

We were introduced to Izumi's work by another of our Japanese artists, Hikari Masuda, when she kindly gifted us a diving wooden serving board with a koala in one handle.

We love using this piece at home and are thrilled that we can now offer her work to our customers.
