DEA EAST | NEIGHBOURHOOD

Metaxi Mas Cafe - a cute family run cafe/deli one door up from DEA EAST. Serving up delicious home made Greek food and coffee, Pete and Angela have been an essential and much loved part of the neighbourhood since forever.

Merchant and Green - previously in the DEA EAST space, and now a few doors further down, this is a wonderful neighbourhood florist. Grab a fresh bunch of flowers, a lovely pot plant or even a terrarium! They also run regular workshops including flower arranging and Bonsai.

Little Evie Cafe - serving up delicious food and all day breakfast, with amazing coffee roasted onsite, this is a friendly and buzzy neighbourhood meeting spot at the south corner of the block from DEA EAST.

Funktion Picture Framing - whether its custom framing, conservation framing, mirrors, memorabilia or block mounting, Alex will sort you out.

The famous Bourke Street Bakery is just a short stroll away north across Cleveland St and into Surry Hills. Amazing bread, pastries and coffee - a favourite with locals and visitors alike.

In a leafy section of Bourke St between Bourke St Bakery and DEA EAST is Cafe Kentaro - serving up delicious Japanese inspired food with a modern flare and great coffee or matcha lattes.

Going further south from DEA EAST is another local favourite, St Judes - rise and dine amongst the trees at this cute little corner cafe, with a fresh and varied menu and delicious juices.

Near where Bourke St crosses into Waterloo at the southern end of Redfern, is the renowned Kepos Street Kitchen. Created by award-winning chef Michael Rantissi, Kepos Street serves modern Israeli food for breakfast and lunch, with seating indoors or out.

At the corner of Bourke and Cleveland Streets are two great watering holes - Bar Cleveland offers a relaxing old school pub vibe, or feel glamorous at Arms Length with classic cocktails with a twist, a great selection of wines and local craft beers.
