Arnaud Barraud (1942-) was born in New Zealand. He studied Architecture for a time in the early 1960s, then spent a few years as a painter and sculptor, living in Mexico, before becoming a professional potter in 1970. In 1976, he migrated to Sydney; then moved to Melbourne in 1980, where he still lives and works, specialising in affordable, functional and decorative stoneware.

He is currently based in the Dandenong Ranges, just outside of Melbourne, and is a member of the Dandenong Ranges Ceramic Group.

DEA discovered the sublime work of Mr Arnaud Barraud at the Warrendyte Pottery Fair. His work is exceptional and made from the finest of porcelain.
