Straight sided dipping bowls/cups by ceramic master Tetsuya Kowari from March 2026.

While humble in size, Kowari’s specialised design and glazing technique make this vessel a feast for the eyes.

Colour variations range from deep greens, warm oranges and sparkling bright blue, while gestural indentations and generous drips create alluring surfaces that occupy the beholder.

Traditionally, soba choko are used for dipping cold noodles into sauce, but this shape as versatile enough to be used as a cup, for rice, soup, or even dessert.
