Japanese hand carved and painted wooden "daruma".

A "daruma" represents the sitting figure of Bodhidharma, the founder of the Zen Buddhism. They are widely popular as an "engimono" (good luck charm), not only within Zen but across many religions.

These "daruma" are a special, limited edition engimono , designed to bring good luck for the coming year at the time of "shōgatsu" (Japanese New Year).
