Part of our Matcha Essentials collection, this black ceramic kusenaoshi (whisk holder) is designed to hold and keep the shape of your bamboo chasen (matcha tea whisk).
To use, first soak the chasen in warm water as you would when making matcha, then press down onto the kusenaoshi - this will keep the bamboo tines separated and preserve its shape while allowing it to dry completely, thus preventing mold. The chasen is then stored facing upwards by placing its handle in the top of the kusenaoshi.
