Rosemary Irons took our attention at the Warrendyte Pottery Show in early 2020.
Rosemary Irons layers glaze, slip, and occasionally ash to create depth and movement throughout her works. Her surfaces shift from silky, marble-like finishes to glassy deposits and textural moments, echoing the diversity of her natural landscape. Iron’s painterly application of mineral slip and liquid porcelain evoke foggy mountain ranges, rocky terrains and Red Gums, while the refractive potential of porcelain emits a soft glow when hit by natural light.
We love her snowy white semi textured glaze - the perfect vessel for your olives, lemon wedges capers, or place underneath your favorite pepper grinder right on the table.
