With two removable ceramic balloons on copper strings, this work perfectly captures Kan's playful inventiveness (are the balloons floating on their own, or do they assist the ghost to ascend?).

The detachable elements in mixed materials give a sense of movement and vitality to the traditionally static medium of ceramic sculpture.
